An assassin moves quickly in the night, his short blade stabs out, and he is on his way while his victim is still realizing he has been mortally wounded. A woman is receiving unwanted attention from a large, smelly man, and suddenly pulls a short blade from her gown or corset. If these scenes sound familiar to you, then you have probably seen the Stiletto in action on screen or in the pages of historical or fantasy fiction.
The Stylet or Stiletto originated in Italy during the 15th century. It is the smallest of daggers, easily concealed, lightest in weight, ideal for surprise attacks. Not meant for duelling or slashing, these daggers were exclusively thrusting weapons, with a strong triangular sectional blade to aid in punching through armour and flesh. The dimensions of the stilettos made these daggers a favorite among criminals and assassins, though they were later popular for self defence. Darksword Armory is pleased to bring a functional Stiletto to the market, though we must request that our customers refrain from any assassination attempts with it.

This Stiletto is a reproduction from one on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Arts. The total length is 13 inches.

Another fine piece of craftsmanship. Very nice little dagger. My daughter loves it. Thanks again Darksword armory.

I bought this dagger and received it about 9 days later, so the shipping was fast first off, the look and feel are incredible! It is detailed enough to be “fancy” and simple enough to be wholesome. Super nice feel and size, it is also VERY sharp at the tip! I have a few gripes though, two of which however, are not even that bad. One was that the handle came a bit loose (it is a screw on handle) but I just have it a REALLY good tighten and it was fixed! The second problem was that the blade’ s tip was slightly curved upwards (almost none at all though) so since I am anal, I sanded it down, and presto! Fixed that problem. The last issue is less forgiving. It is that the blade itself (not just the tip) is bent downwards by enough to easily notice. Sadly I have not figured out how to fix this problem. Otherwise I hope that is just with my copy and not all of them. So I would still recommend it to anyone who likes medieval daggers. The quality and feel is unmatched!
